Privacy Policy

Evkie operates the Service. For privacy questions or requests, email furkan@evkie.com. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Evkie is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), sign-in method, plan, and account dates.

Content you create. Drafts, templates, prompts, and instructions you submit, along with the writing profile we build for you so the Service can match your tone.

Connected services. If you connect an account such as Google, we receive the information you authorize us to access, which may include your profile, email address, messages, and calendar events. We access it only to provide the features you use.

Usage and technical data. Features used, usage counts, IP address, browser type, request logs, and error reports.

Waitlist information. Your email address and the date you signed up for early access.

• Provide the Service and personalize it to your writing style.
• Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
• Enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
• Communicate with you about your account, invites, and changes to our policies.
• Comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Some features send the content needed for a request, such as the text you are working on and your instruction, to a third-party AI provider, which returns the result. Providers process that content only on our behalf to provide the Service. We do not use it to train generalized AI models.

You can connect Google to use features such as drafting replies, learning your writing style, and suggesting times. When you do, we access the basic profile information, Gmail messages, and calendar events you approve, and we use that data only to provide the features you request. If you choose to send a reply from Evkie, we send it through your Gmail account only when you explicitly approve it. We never send email on your behalf without your action.

We store Google user data on our servers while Google is connected. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. We do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. We do not allow humans to read it except when you ask us to, when necessary for security or legal compliance, or to fix a problem you report. We share it only with providers that help us operate the Service under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you.

Evkie's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google in Settings at any time. We then revoke the grant where possible and delete the Google tokens, synced messages, and writing profile derived from that connection. You can also revoke access from your Google Account. To delete your account and all associated data, email us from the address on the account. We delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law or for an active security investigation.

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that are necessary to run the Service. They keep you signed in, protect sign-in and connection flows, and remember your settings. The browser extension stores your session and preferences locally. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can clear cookies and storage in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will sign you out, but you can sign back in normally.

We share information with providers that help us run the Service, including cloud hosting and storage, AI processing, security, and email delivery. They may use it only to provide their services to us. We may also share information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Evkie or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice where required.

• Disconnect any connected service in Settings at any time. We stop accessing it and delete the data we synced from it.
• Revoke Evkie's access from your Google Account or the settings of any other provider.
• Request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data by emailing furkan@evkie.com.
• Object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent where we rely on it.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message.
• Complain to your local data protection authority. In the EEA or UK, this is the authority in your country of residence or work.

We respond within the time required by law, usually within 30 days, and may need to verify your identity first.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, based on legitimate interests such as security and improving the Service, with your consent for connected services and marketing, and to comply with the law. California residents can make the same access, deletion, and correction requests. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Account data is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and backup purposes.
• Data synced from a connected service is kept while that service is connected. Disconnecting deletes it, along with the writing profile and memories derived from it.
• Drafts are kept until you delete them or delete your account.
• Server logs are kept for a short operational period unless needed for security or legal reasons.
• Waitlist data is kept until you ask us to remove it or it is no longer needed.

To delete your account and its data, email furkan@evkie.com from the address on the account. We will verify the request and delete the data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law or for an active security investigation. Backup copies are removed as they rotate.

We protect data in transit with HTTPS, encrypt sensitive data at rest, store passwords only as hashes, and restrict access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please protect your password and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

We and our providers process data in the European Union and the United States, and may process it in other countries where they operate. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
